University of Northern Iowa Today gets new format |
The UNI Alumni Association is changing to better serve members and readers nationwide. We’ve adopted a new, compact format for our magazine to meet new postal guidelines and save financial resources, but inside you will still find the same great material keeping you in touch with your alma mater. Another change you’ll see in the University of Northern Iowa Today during the coming year is frequency. Alumni Association members will receive three issues each year, in addition to discounts on merchandise and special rates for alumni events, programs and services. Non-members will receive just one issue of the magazine each year. Check your mailing label to confirm your membership status. If you aren’t a member, joining is easy at www.unialum.org. In addition to improving the University of Northern Iowa Today, we are improving many of our communication tools at the Alumni Association. We are changing the alumni Web site to keep you fully informed about your university by working with academic and campus organizations to provide you with updates that reflect your interests. You will start receiving our e-newsletter UNI Alumni News biweekly to give you more timely information. If you are not already receiving UNI Alumni News, please contact me with your preferred e-mail address at mark.jastorff@uni.edu or 319-273-2355. You also can update your contact information at www.unialum.org by clicking on the “update your information” link. Finally, make sure you take advantage of Panther Union, an online social and professional networking site exclusively for UNI alumni. More than 3,000 fellow Panthers are already participating and have established more than 250 different alumni groups. You can find more information and register at www.unialum.org. On behalf of the Alumni Association and the entire campus community, I want to thank you for your continuing interest, loyalty and support. Great things are going on at the University of Northern Iowa, and this magazine and other communication tools are your windows to look in on what’s happening.
