UNI receives national award for 2+2
Rina McCool’s lifelong desire to become a teacher became a reality through UNI’s 2+2 program at the DMACC-Carroll campus. Representing 2+2 graduates, she presented President Robert Koob with the Best Practice Award for Collaboration with Community Colleges from the American Association for Colleges of Teacher Education.

UNI seniors took on an exciting project this year—raising funds for a full-size panther statue cast in bronze, to be located in UNI’s Memorial Garden (located east of Maucker Union.) Completion is expected this fall. This is the first panther statue on campus, which will be surrounded by a fountain and dedicated to President Robert D. Koob.
