Installation Instructions

Windows:

Click on your monitor resolution below the image you wish to install as your desktop wallpaper. A new window will pop up. Using your mouse, right-click on the image, and select "Set as Wallpaper."

Mac OS 8 or 9:

Click on your monitor resolution below the image you wish to install as your desktop wallpaper. A new window will pop up. Now hold down the "Control" key and use your mouse to click on the image in the new window.

  • If you are using Netscape, select "Save this image as..."

  • If you are using Internet Explorer, select "Download Image to Disk."

Select a location for the image (put it in a place so you can find it later). Once the image is saved, click on the "Apple Menu," scroll down to "Control Panels," and then select "Appearance." In "Appearance" window, click on the "Desktop" tab. Now look for the "Place Picture..." button (if picture is already in use, the button will read "Remove Picture" instead), and click on it. A new window will pop up, and ask for the image you just downloaded - find it, and click on the "Open" button. To see your new desktop wallpaper click the "Set Desktop" button, which is in the "Appearance" window (under the "Desktop" tab).

Mac OS X:

Click on your monitor resolution below the image you wish to install as your desktop wallpaper. A new window will pop up. Now hold down the "Control" key and use your mouse to click on the image in the new window.

  • If you are using Internet Explorer, select "Download Image to Disk."

After downloading your photo, store it on your hard drive. A good place is in Library > Desktop Pictures.

After putting the picture where you want to store it, open the Apple Menu > System Preferences > Desktop

Either drag the photo’s icon over the window titled Current Desktop Picture, or select it from the selection of pictures in the row at the bottom (if it’s been stored in Library > Desktop Pictures select Desktop Pictures from the menu).
