What is Our Tomorrow?
Our Tomorrow: The Campaign for UNI is UNI’s boldest and most ambitious fundraising campaign to support the people, programs and spaces that set UNI apart. Together, we’re seeking to advance the promise of a UNI education for generations to come.

The Our Tomorrow Exhibition
The Our Tomorrow Exhibition is a university-wide showcase created to display the talent and creative expression of current UNI scholars and artists. Using the skills you have gained at the University of Northern Iowa or the talents you bring to the university, submit a new or existing original work representing your vision for Our Tomorrow.
We welcome artistic entries in any form. Accepted mediums include but are not limited to essays, poems, short stories, videos, photographs, original songs or compositions, paintings, drawings/illustrations, ceramics, printmaking, sculptures, woodwork, metalwork, dramatic scripts, digital art, dance, performance art, clothing/jewelry design, lesson plans, workout or recreational programs and architecture/interior design.
Rules
- Original work only
- No entry fee
- One entry per student
- Must be a current UNI student
Evaluation and Awards
Entries will be reviewed by faculty jurors and selected for the exhibition and awards based on originality, technical skill and relevance to the theme.
- Our Tomorrow Exhibition Winner: $500
- Our Tomorrow Exhibition Honorable Mention(s): Up to $250
Students with accepted entries are invited to display their work at a private reception and exhibition at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Accepted entries will be displayed to the public on Friday, October 7, 2022, during UNI’s Homecoming and campaign launch activities.
Submission Format
Electronic submissions should be sent to alumni@uni.edu. Please title your email with your name and the text as follows: (Name) - Our Tomorrow Exhibition Submission. Physical entries should be delivered to 205 Commons between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Students are responsible for delivery of physical works to and from the UNI Alumni Association.
Deadline
Entries are due Friday, September 23, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. You will be notified by Friday, September 30 at 4:30 p.m. if your entry has been selected for the exhibition.
