When did the CATS program start?

The CATS student organization was formed in January 2007. It was formed to help enhance the growing programs of the Alumni Association. The CATS members promote Panther Pride through events on and off campus.

What type of time commitment does CATS entail?

The CATS organization believes that you get out what you put into the program. The volunteer hours vary from week to week depending on activities and events. The primary time commitments are:

Mandatory attendance at bi-weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm
Committee meetings once a month
Mandatory events include: Homecoming, All member retreats, and Reunions.
Other events include: Panther Pride Dinners, Panther Prize Patrol, Pre-game Alumni events, Alumni Association tabling events, Panther Fridays and UNI Commencement.

What leadership opportunities does CATS offer?

Cats offer multiple opportunities to gain leadership skills. You can run for one of the three executive positions (President, Vice President & Vice President of Communications). You can also step up and become a chair of one of the many CATS committees.
