
The University of Northern Iowa Connecting Alumni to Students (CATS) is the official student volunteer group of the UNI Alumni Association. These members represent dedicated and passionate students whose primary goal is to be the official tradition keepers of the University of Northern Iowa. CATS represent the University of Northern Iowa student body to alumni and friends. CATS create and promote the lasting connections between past, present and future Panthers.

Their enthusiasm to enhance relationships between the alumni and the current student body is amazing. This group of students also has a passion for service to the university and the community we live in. It has been a blast watching them grow through the organization and expand their creativity in the event and programming areas. Each member will definitely be an outstanding alum of UNI.

What do you like best about UNI?: I like many things about UNI, but one specific thing would be UNI's student body size. I've grown up around UNI my whole life and feel it provides a big school feel, providing many new people to meet and become friends with, but yet, still posses's a small town atmosphere with a supporting community and many things to become involved with. I desire to live in the Big Apple where I will attempt to make it on the biggest stage of them all: Broadway. If the said career option does not pan out I would utilize my knowledge of the Spanish language as a safety net. Why is CATS such a great organization? : CATS is such an uberly amazing organization because its mission is utterly humble. Many public universities do not attempt to connect current students with its alumni, but UNI h as made this effort and it is obvious that the said effort is proving beneficial and also the diversity within the organization is utterly supreme!
